Advanced Ways to Effective E-Commerce
The whole point of running a business online is to make sales to potential customers you were never able to reach before. E-Commerce is not the simplest process, so it is more important than ever to have the most effective E-Commerce available. It s not enough to just build a Web site. You need to make an effort to market and promote your Web site to new and existing customers. You need to optimize your site s content and submit it to the major search engines. If a customer canâ™t find you, no matter how flashy or beautiful your site is, it will be of no benefit. Many online consumers also complain about overly complicated navigation or too many pages in the way as reasons they don t complete their online sale. Simplify the checkout process and display clear pricing and shipping information. If you are comfortable with providing a phone number on your site, provide it so clients know you are reachable if anything goes awry. Above all, make payment processing easy! The Internet has grown at such an astounding rate that you are more than likely not the only person offering your product or service. We are well beyond the days of âœSend Cash, Check or Money Order toâ¦â Online shoppers need a way to give you money online. If you are just getting started, a full fledged Merchant Account can be pricey, but there are other options available like Pay Pal that allow you to accept credit cards for a small fee per transaction. It s so easy to create a Pay Pal account that more than 96 million consumer accounts have been created at Pay Pal since it was founded in 1998! Know your consumer too. If you donâ™t know who you are selling your product or service to, then you may have a lot of information about your company on the site that you think need to be there, but if you are targeting the wrong audience, consumers will just find this extra information tedious.
